ETHELDA M. BURTON, the daughter of the late Walter R. & Edna M. Johnson Morris, was born February 2, 1931 in Nassau, De. She departed this life on March 1, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Ethelda was employed for many years with Reese & Marge White of Henlopen Acres, Rehoboth Bch, De. She also worked along with her husband as a school bus driver. On October 16, 1948, Ethelda married the love of her life, John, who preceded  her in death. From that union came seven children whom Ethelda loved with all her heart. She was a wonderfully loving and caring mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She had a quiet demeanor but would speak up when it mattered. Her children and grandchildren use these words to describe her: feisty, witty, honest, integrity, sensitive, strong and loving. What a blessing she was to us all!  Ethelda was a lifelong member of Israel U M Church, Lewes, De. In her younger years, she was a charter member of the Women's Society of Christian Service. the Senior Choir, Women's Choir, and the Young Adult choir where she was a lead soprano soloist. She also served as a Communion Steward. Her favorite hymn was "In the Garden". She was an avid lover of flowers and gardening. Ethelda was a homemaker extraordinaire, decorating with seasonal accents. She was a collector of salt and pepper shakers and Willow Tree angels. In addition to her husband, John, and her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Roland (Dizzy) Morris and sister, Charlotte Lucas. She leaves to mourn her passing seven children- Sandra & Richard Neal/Ross & Angela Burton/ Risden M. Burton/ Fonda & Rev. Gary L.
