LESTER SHERWOOD SUNKETT

LESTER  SHERWOOD  SUNKETT, was born November 4, 1952 to the late Melvin T.  Sunkett, Sr. and Gladys Finney Coon.  Lester was preceded in death by sister Allene Carter and brother Melvin T.  Sunkett, Jr.  Lester graduated from  Cape Henlopen High School  in 1970, after graduation he was employed by Henlopen Floor Service, training as a floor technician.  He later owned and operated Lester's Floor Service for 40 years.  He retired in 2015.  Lester became and Ordained Deacon in 1987 and was one of the founding Trustee's of  Trinity Faith Christian Center.  Lester loved laughing, singing, giving advice, eating at every Restaurant on the Eastern Shore and spending time with his family.  Cherishing his memory his loving wife of 22 years, Kathie L.  Sunkett,

3 Daughters: Leslie Palmer of Laurel, Md. /  Tamara Brown, Middletown, De. /  Sheraina Sunkett, Lewes, De. / and Tina Miller, Jacksonville, FL  whom he loved as a daughter.

3 Step-sons: Steven R.  &  Karen Miller, Sr., Jacksonville, FL.  /  Lamarr D. & Tamaro Thompson, Millsboro, De. /  Ricky M. & Morgan Thompson, Chesapeake, Va. /

2 Sis: Marie Peterson and Margaret & Arthur Jones, Lewes, De. /  1 Bro: Randolph & Karen Sunkett, Lewes, De.

9 Grandsons: Jalen, Jordin, Tray,, Steven II, Lamar, Jr., Mason, LaMarcus, Ricky Jr., and Elijah. /  3 Granddaughters: Nevaeh,  Jaslynn, and Laila, and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, family and friends.
