God saw the road was getting rough, the hills hard to climb, he gently closed her eyes and said "Peace be Thine" Luana Randolph was born in Paterson, New Jersey, September 21, 1948. She was the second of three daughters, born to the late Cardell Ike and Essie Johnson. She was educated in the Paterson public school system and earned her Bachelors Degree in Education from William Paterson University, and her Master's Degree in Education, specializing in Reading, from Montclair State University. In 1984, Luana was widowed from her first husband, and later married Carl Randolph of Montclair, NJ, and they have one daughter, Dacier Randolph. Luana taught at the elementary level in the Paterson Public School system for over 35 years and retired in 2005. In 2006 the family relocated to Lewes, Delaware, where she immersed herself in the community. She had many interests and hobbies. She loved shopping, singing, reading and studying the Bible, flora and fauna, and decorating for the seasons. Luana also immersed herself into the community by being a docent and participating in various local activities. Her vibrant personality exemplified her philosophy that no one is a stranger, and always had a smile and kind words to share with others. With precious memories and deepest gratitude to our Father for allowing her to be in our midst for a short time. Luana leaves behind to cherish her memory: husband Carl, daughter Dacier, sisters Wendelyn (Daniel) Black of New Jersey, Adria (Peter) Dorsher of Florida, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Lovingly submitted,
The Family
